ESS Naro Shooting Glasses
The ICE Naro is the newest edition to the ESS ICE eyeshield
line. Repeated requests from customers led ESS to produce the ICE Naro for folks
with smaller faces and for children. Just like the full size ICE 2.4, the ICE
Naro has the same level of ballistic protection and functionality. Please follow
this link to see the
ballistic specs and features of the ICE 2.6. The ICE Naro Shooting glasses
are about 13 mm (about 1/2 an inch) narrower between the temples than the standard
ICE 2.4 for an improved fit on smaller, narrower faces. The ICE Naro makes a
great set of shooting glasses for teenagers and kids.
Equipped with the slightly modified temple designs, the ICE
NARO features a redesigned fit to accommodate headborne equipment and increased
ease of temple adjustment and lens interchange. This lightweight, frameless
eye protection system that offers a unique combination of high-impact resistance,
unrestricted field of view, and interchangeable lenses for effective eye protection
in any light condition.
Adjustable earbends allow for a comfortable, secure, anatomical fit. Telescoping
temples offer bend-to-fit inner-wire ear tabs and a snap-on leash system.
The ICE Naro system includes the following:
- (1) set of lens frames
- (1) set of clear lenses
- (1) set of smoke gray lenses
- (1) set of Hi-Def Yellow lenses
- (1) protective carrying case
- (1) elastic snap neck leash
If you need prescription lenses, the ICE Naro, like the ICE
2.4, can also be outfitted with a wire RX carrier. The carrier for the ICE Naro
is identical to the wire carrier used with the ICE 2.4, except that it's narrower
to fit the dimensions of the ICE Naro. The carrier is frameless and can accommodate
vision prescriptions with a diopter range of +/- 6. If you need the Naro RX
carrier, it can be purchased below under the "Accessories" drop down
menu.
Some commonly asked questions about the ICE Naro:
Does the Naro have the option for the two different
RX carriers (wire and nylon)?
No, the ICE Naro only has a wire RX carrier available.
Since the frames are smaller, does the Naro offer as
much protection as the standard ICE 2.4?
Yes, the Naro's are really just a smaller version of the standard
ICE 2.4. For a person with a smaller head, the Naro's offers the exact same
level of protection as the standard 2.4 model.
I see the full size ICE glasses have an optional Rose
colored lens. Is this color also available in the Naro?
Yes it it available, but is not part of the standard NARO package.
You can order it under the "Accessories" dropdown menu below.
Will any of the accessories from the standard ICE 2.4
model work with the Naro's?
Unfortunately, none of the accessories for the full size 2.4
glasses will interchange with the Naro model.
We are big fans of the ICE 2.4 model, so the ICE Naro should
perform just as well. It should make an excellent pair of shooting glasses for
shooters with smaller heads, teenagers, and kids.
NOTE - We are currently out of stock on the ESS Naro ICE 2.4 glasses. We have more on order with an expected arrival of mid November. If you order now you will be reserving a pair of glasses from the in coming shipment.
